AndFTP is an FTP, FTPS, SCP, SFTP client for Android devices. Manage several FTP/SFTP connections on your mobile device, tablets, etc. and upload/download multiple files and folders with just a touch of a button. View the video tutorial at the end of the article.
In the first part of our AndFTP tutorials, learn how to connect, upload and download to and from your FTP, SFTP server or HostedFTP account. Before you can begin, you’re going to need to collect 3 pieces of information:
When connecting with SFTP you also require to know your default remote directory. This is the folder you want to land in when you connect via AndFTP.
Open AndFTP on your Android device and click on the + button to open the site manager | ![]() |
Input your hostname, username, and password in their fields
In the drop-down menu beside Type select your protocol (FTP, FTPS, SFTP)

For any advanced procedures press the Advanced tab and setup SSH keys, PKI keys, etc. | ![]() |
Click on the Save button to keep your FTP site saved on your device.
Now you can connect anytime by pressing the folder in the AndFTP app. |
