WebDrive allows you to mount your Hosted~FTP~ server as a mapped local drive. It allows Windows and Mac users to easily manage files and folders on the server using a familiar drag and drop approach.
To connect, follow the steps below. If you haven’t yet, download WebDrive here. Or view our review on WebDrive.
After installing WebDrive, open the program and click “New” at the top left.
A pop-up window will list your choice of connection. Select your protocol – In this tutorial, we will be using a secure connection, SFTP.
Input your hostname, and login credentials then click “Next”. You can customize your hostname (find out here), or use the default hostname: ftp.hostedftp.com.
Input the name you want the drive to show, and the letter you want WebDrive to show (in this example: W:// Drive), and click “Connect Now“.
Congratulations, your FTP is now mounted as a disk drive. Viewing your drives, you should now see your FTP site.
Now you’re ready to use WebDrive.
