There are 5 basic parts to FileZilla’s interface that you need to understand:
Local Site Folder Browser – located in the left center panel and reveals local folders and files. Use the local site folder browser to search through directories and find files to upload or the landing directory for downloads.
Remote Site Folder Browser – located in the right center panel and reveals local folders and files. Use the remote site folder browser to search through directories and find files for download or the upload destination for local files.
Toolbar – located at the top of the FileZilla interface and shows tools, actions and shortcuts used to speed up your transfer processes. In the toolbar, you’ll also find your transfer settings, the site manager and other tools used to manage your remote or local site.
Transfer Queue – located at the bottom of the FileZilla interface and reveals the current, pending, failed and successful transfers. Use the transfer queue to view, prioritize or manage your transfers.
Message Log – located at the top of the FileZilla interface below the toolbar and reveals the status of your connection and transfers at all times. Use the message log to view specific errors that may appear during your transfers.
