Files Tab

Description: Contains the workspace for all your folders subfolders and
files. Manage your folder structure, upload files into your user account, share
folders with users, manage permissions on folders, configure notifications and
enable anonymous access to folders.

Types of Folders

Description: There are 4 types of folders that include different types of
ownership. Depending on the ownership of the folder some features may be not be available.
Types of Folders

Folder Type Description
Root Folder Contains the overall files workspace for that user
account. Cannot be shared. Default location for system generated folders
i.e mail, logs, imports.
Owned Folder A folder you created i.e. originates from your user.
Share folder with users, manage access and permissions, setup
notifications and enable anonymous access.
Owned Shared Folder A folder you created and have shared with another user.
Share folder with users, manage access and permissions, setup
notifications and enable anonymous access.
Unowned Shared Folder A folder another user has shared with you. No ability to
change access, permissions or share the folder with other users.

 

Home Link

The home link allows you to view , create, delete and manage your folder
structure in your workspace.

Feature Description
Root Folder Contains the overall files workspace for that user
account. Cannot be shared. Default location for system generated folders i.e mail, logs, imports.
Workspace Tree Quickly, view and browse your folders and files using a
full illustration of your entire folder structure.

Workspace Browser Area View the contents inside your current directory in icon,
thumbnail or detail mode. View the size, date modified and date uploaded
in detail model.

Send Send individual files or entire folders to users,
contacts or other recipients by email.

Share

Share folder access to users and contacts. Setup permissions on folders,
activate anonymous access and configure email notifications.

Feature Description
Name Name of the shared folder the user or contact will see.
Path The directory path for the shared folder. Select “Choose” to select a different folder to share.
Description What appears on the description of the shared folder.
Choose Allows you to change the path of the shared folder to
another folder you own.

Add Contacts Opens a new window to select from the list of current
users and contacts to share the folder with. Allows you to bulk
configure permissions and email notifications.
Add Contact
Active Enables and disables the shared folder. When inactive, the folder no longer becomes available.
Notify me when contacts Enables email notifications for the Folder Owner.
Select when email notifications are received using the drop down
menu.
Allow anonymous access Enables anonymous access by FTP client or anonymous
access by URL syntax (browser based). Select anonymous permissions using the drop down menu.

Hide folder from anonymous access listing Hides the folder from anonymous listing. The folder is hidden from other folders and cannot be accessed unless the exact folder credentials are known.
Display downloaded files directly in browser Displays browser compatible files directly in web
browser. Files not compatible with web browsers will prompt users to download the file to their device.

 

Sharing Link

View the details of all shared folders currently listed in your account or
associated with your user. View the shared folder name, path, access and more.

Feature Description
Search Search for a specific shared folder name
Shared Folder Browser View the name, folder path, members, access and
notifications of shared folders listed in the account.
Shared Folder Select a shared folder to open sharing options.
Add Manually create a new shared folder path. Redirects to the share page to manually input name, description and path fields.
Import Sharing Create multiple shared folder paths simultaneously.
