We have a simple acronym, FUSN, to assist you in defining a restricted shared folder which stands for:
Folder Structure: Create a main folder for your entire infrastructure then use subfolders to separate your different clients, vendors, departments etc.
Username: Create and setup usernames for different access and permissions. Check “manage user settings” and add a “storage quota” of 0 to create a restricted shared folder outcome. This disables the user from being able to change their own login credentials and disables their ability to create folders in the root directory (which are invisible unless shared to other users).
Sharing: Share the subfolder created for the users and select their permission and access. More on sharing folders.
Notification: Setup email notifications for upload, download or both for each user or yourself as the admin.
