Using the Hosted FTP web interface, you can use the Send function to easily send secure e-mail links to recipients in your FTP account or to 3rd parties. This function is available for all administrators and users. Administrators can restrict these settings on an individual basis by following this article. Learn more about the Send function in the steps below.
In your Home tab, locate and click on the Send button on the right. A pop-up window will appear for you to send a file or email to recipients. | ![]() |
Click on the To button to select your recipients.
· Each contact, user, or email you add will receive an email that you have sent files to them, including a link to download. · You can also manually input a username in the FTP account or email in the empty field to specify recipients Please note that new emails added will automatically be created into a new Contact (Users and Admins have this permission) |

· Click on the Files button to attach and send files or entire folders from the FTP account to your recipients. Selecting an entire folder will compress all the content.
or · Click on the Choose File/Browse button to send files from your local directory. You can send a maximum of 8 files, with a maximum total size of 2GB.

Create a public link – Checkmark this option to enable a shareable URL for any 3rd party to access and download the files. You can disable the public link after, by clicking on the event in your Home tab > click on Options > uncheck “Create a public link”. More info can be found here.
Delete after _ days – Checkmarking this option will set a timer in x amount of days until the files expire. By default, mail will delete after 14 days.

You can review and access all your sent mail in the events listed in your Home tab. Clicking on an event will open a pop-up window with settings:
Download – download the attached files in the mail Forward – Forward the mail and the files to one or more recipients Reply – Reply to the recipients listed in the mail Options – Access the public link and mailbox cleanup settings for the mail Delete – Deletes the mail. Recipients will no longer be able to access the files. (Only works if you are the sender) |
