These WCAG documents explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities specifically with web content including natural information such as text, images, and sounds or code or markup. The link below refers to a university of Wisconsin study for  Disability Services that illustrates how people with diverse issues be able to access the web, in particular with configuring the google chrome browser with extensions.
