Setting up Five9 with FTP (File Transfer Protocol) involves configuring the platform to exchange data or upload recorded calls, reports, and other files to a remote FTP server. This tutorial will guide you through the steps to set up Five9 with Hosted~FTP~.
Creating the Five9 user in Hosted~FTP~ #
Our best practice use case allows the admin full control of the entire Five9 data, but limiting access to the user, such as read/write/ and no delete permissions.
- Logging in as the admin, go to your Files tab and create a new main folder called /Recordings

- Create the user with restricted settings such as: Manage user settings to prevent the user from editing any settings, a storage quota of 0GB to prevent the user from uploading outside of the administrators control, and a default FTP folder set to /Recordings to have Five9 correctly populate into the folder

- Next, go to your Files tab and click on the /Recordings folder and click on the Share button to share restricted access to the new Five9 user such as Read/Write/No Delete and Save
